Never Again!
Never again shall I purchase an ATI product. Ati used to have a decent reputation... about 5-6 years ago. When they were bought over by AMD, something awful happened. The quality of their products has diminished beyond recognition.
When I bought parts for my new computer, I got the Radeon 2900XT because it looked best on paper and they *USED TO* have a good reputation. I even put a more powerful power supply to run this beast.
I'd be playing Crysis (which does look beautiful in DX10) on max settings to near perfection with no errors. I get done, I exit, I open Firefox, and BAM, blue screen.
Well, it actually came down to drivers. They suck, plain and simple. I have had so many BSOD because of this ATI card, more than with any other computer I've ever used. I always have the most up-to-date drivers and each time they roll them out, it gets a little bit worse.
It happens almost everyday now, no matter what I've done. I even installed Vista SP1 which fixed a lot of problems with it, but not all.
My experience with ATi has pissed me off beyond the point of no return. They do make great cards, but simply the drivers themselves make this beast nearly unusable.
I would seriously recommend to someone getting an ATi card to not get it, the drivers are that bad.

Haha, I've been here since then, just been too lazy to sign in.
I just had a mobo failure last weekend so I was busy fixing that up.

Thanks, this site looks very nice already, even with a lot of things left to do.
I really like all of the nice javascript overlay boxes.
